Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque: Visitor Regulations
1. Admission & Access
1.1. Admission to the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque is subject to an entry fee. Retain your ticket throughout your visit.
1.2. Operating hours are 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The café and shop operate from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
1.3. For security or operational necessity, management reserves the right to alter opening hours, close sections, or restrict access without prior notice.
1.4. All visitors and belongings are subject to security screening. Luggage exceeding 40x40x50 cm or 8 kg is prohibited. Wheeled bags are not permitted.
2. Health, Safety & Accessibility
2.1. The experience features intense sensory effects, including strobe lighting, loud sounds, and smoke. Visitors with photosensitivity, epilepsy, or other health conditions are advised accordingly.
2.2. To preserve the solemn atmosphere, children under the age of 8 are not permitted.
2.3. Non-slip, soled shoes are strongly recommended due to the historic pavement and steps.
2.4. Visitors using wheelchairs are advised to be accompanied for optimal navigation.
3. Code of Conduct
By entering, visitors hereby agree to this code of conduct:
3.1. Respect the Sacred Space: Maintain quiet conversation. Silence all mobile devices; phone calls are prohibited.
3.2. Group Etiquette: Follow all instructions from Oligarch Tour staff and guides. Remain with your designated group.
3.3. Photography: Non-commercial photography without flash is permitted. Commercial filming, tripods, and selfie sticks require prior written authorization.
3.4. Prohibited Actions: The following are strictly forbidden:
* Touching exhibits or historic surfaces.
* Running, sitting on steps, or blocking pathways.
* Consuming food or beverages outside designated café areas.
* Smoking (including e-cigarettes).
* Using laser pointers or similar devices.
4. Audio Guide System
4.1. Use only the provided headphones with the official audio guide for a synchronized experience.
4.2. Report any technical issues immediately to staff. Do not remove the devices from the premises.
4.3. Return all equipment to designated drop-off points after your tour.
5. Security & Enforcement
5.1. Oligarch Tour reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person for non-compliance, disruptive behavior, or for the safety of others and the site.
5.2. Unattended items will be removed and may be disposed of for security purposes. The management is not liable for loss or theft.
5.3. The premises are under 24-hour electronic surveillance.
